Taylor & Cameron | Vibrant Boho Summer Barn Wedding | Henderson, MN

My favorite part about my job is seeing bridesmaids from weddings I’ve done in the past, become the bride themselves! And that was exactly the case when I was present to handle Taylor’s wedding to her love Cameron this past summer at the beautiful Scenic Escape Barn in Henderson, MN.

The day was a warm and breezy day and it started with the girls getting ready in the wonderful space that can be used for bridal preparation. This worked out perfectly for our girl as her sister is an incredibly talented hairstylist and helped make sure she was glammed up for her big day. As always, the mimosa flowed and the giggles did too.

When it came time for getting Taylor in her A&Bé gown her momma was on hand, such a special moment. Then her Matron of Honor and former ATE Bride Lindsey was there to put her veil in place (a special something borrowed that Lindsey wore for her own wedding). These are the moments that are so special.

One of the fun things about the Scenic Escape Barn is that there is also a fun spot for the boys to hang out and prepare for the big day. I love it when the boys also spend time together before their best bro gets hitched. I also love it when the bride does a boudoir shoot and gifts the groom with a boudoir album the morning of the wedding- watching the groom blush is hilarious to me! SO many of them never expect their fiancé to do something like this, its not only empowering to the women, it’s a good reminder to the boys of how lucky they are 😉

I don’t even know how to find the words to describe the first time Cameron saw Taylor on this very special day……so I’ll let the images TEM Photography captured speak for themselves…

I am still obsessing over the color palette that Taylor chose for this day. The bridesmaids all looked simply gorgeous and I love the variation in terracotta tones and the different styles of all the girls’ gowns. I also love the pattern and colors of the boys’ ties paired with simple trousers and shoes. Perfect bridal party attire for a rustic outdoor setting.

For Taylor and Cameron’s florals I used Juliet garden roses, terracotta roses, blush spray roses, mustard and pink dahlias, silver leaf eucalyptus, and baby eucalyptus, hand tied with long flowy raw edge ribbon. The bouquets were the perfect addition to the boho style of this wedding.

Taylor and Cameron said their vows under the beautiful arbor at Scenic Escape barn which we adorned with florals and a macrame banner. The Bride’s grandfather performed the ceremony. My favorite moments were the couple deciding to have a “long island ice tea” ceremony. It was a drink they first shared when they first started dating and added the perfect PERSONAL touch, but the best was “Reverend Ron” as he preferred to be called telling the groom “you may now kiss my granddaughter” when the ceremony had finished. Have I mentioned recently that I love my job.

Chef Craig’s made an incredible meal and the Bride’s grandpa also handmade harvest tables for the wedding party to sit at- I told you the details of this wedding were PERFECT! The backdrop macrame banner and loose greens and wooden candle holder provided a beautiful setting for the dinner. Handmade desserts, a snack bar, and antique family heirloom cake toppers were the perfect touches to the reception. Hilarious reception moment, one of the flower girls at this wedding managed to find my assistant and I eating dinner and decided she was going to hang out with us for 3+ hours during the reception while we coordinated details and discussed all things Little Mermaid. It was one of the most best moments of my wedding planning career. I asked her “don’t you wanna go dance?!” and she replied “no, I’ll just sit here with you”. I mean, I had an idea that I was cool…but not that cool….

Scenic Escape Barn is a stunning venue- it also has a GIANT back deck…which is where we put the DJ for the evening…overlooking a large yard with bonfire, yard games, and grain bin bar. The special dances of the evening taking place outdoors with family and friends looking on while throughly enjoying themselves was seriously MAGICAL.

Just another amazing wedding that I am so grateful to have been a part of, especially with family coming from all over the US, I am so happy that I was able to provide piece of mind for the bride and groom and their families.
