Tyler and Kaylie are two people with hearts bigger than Texas, and oddly enough, Texas is the place where their love story first started to be written and the place where Tyler asked her to be his wife. These are the kind of people that you meet and cannot help but love. Genuine, funny, caring, and loving.
While planning their wedding, I knew Tyler would have married Kaylie in someone else’s backyard in his blue jeans, but Kaylie is a girl after my own heart and likes things a certain way…a little “extra” and sparkly, always sparkly. So when choosing a venue for this couple I was lead immediately to the historic Landmark Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. It feels like a castle and if you knew Kaylie, you’d know that it was the perfect fit. Tyler liked the history of the building as well, so that made for fun conversations for all of their guests. Grand stairwells, natural light, a gorgeous open cortile, the venue could not have been more beautiful.
Tyler looked dapper in his suit from Graif Clothing in Mankato, and all morning I could tell his nerves were running high as he waited to see his bride for the first time that day. But because I had already seen her, I knew the vision he would soon see would be worth the wait.
One of my favorite things about a wedding, is seeing my brides put on the gown of their dreams, and because I had been along for wedding gown shopping with Kaylie, I knew that she was over the moon excited about wearing her incredible gown from Luxe Bridal. She had literally RAN to the fitting room to put it on after seeing it sparkle on the rack from across the room…I told you she was a girl after my own heart, she loves bling.
As I tucked her veil into her hair and made sure she was picture perfect with kleenex in hand to catch any stray tears, I became overwhelmed with joy. I am part of many weddings, but when friends turn to clients, it makes it that much more special. I am truly, truly blessed. I fluffed her train, made sure the photographer was ready and sent her on her way down the aisle so her anxious groom could get a look at his beautiful bride.
These two. Perfect for each other doesn’t even come close to describing them.
I kept the flowers simple and all white at the brides request, calla lilies, hydrangea, and roses, a timeless combo. Kaylie had told me from the start of her wedding planning process that she had to have lilies because they remind her of her Grandma. So of course I made sure they were plentiful.
Meaningful Moments provided reception decor that was simple but elegant with just enough sparkle and provided the perfect setting for guests to enjoy True Tastes Catering’s amazing meal- Chef Jeff knows what he is doing people. Amy’s Cupcake Shop provided DELISH cupcakes and a gorgeous wedding cake.
After heartfelt speeches, a first dance song sung BEAUTIFULLY by the bride’s cousin, Joe with Day One DJ pumped up the volume for the dance party. And man did they dance.
Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.
Thank you Kaylie and Tyler for allowing me to help you plan the most important day of your lives thus far.
And now…..a shameless overshare of photos from the incredible Alice HQ Photography of Tyler and Kaylie’s big day…
