Rebecca + Clinton Country Chic Wedding | Mankato, MN

Real Weddings

Rebecca and Clinton’s love story is a classic.

Country girl meets city boy.

They fall in love.

The new Mr. and Mrs. held their ceremony at Minneopa State Park on a perfect July day, and by that I mean we weren’t all sweltering in 100+ degree temps, there was a light breeze, and NO MOSQUITOS…that is PERFECT by every Minnesota standard that there is.

As most people in a relationship can tell you, there are sometimes trying moments. The beauty of love is that it is a buoy and a beacon during those times. And although this love story has some rocky parts, Clinton never let go of the buoy of Rebecca’s love, and the love of their families and those around them shone as a beacon to lead them back to where it seems they were always meant to be.

The Pastor from Clinton’s church was kind enough to come down from St. Cloud to preside over the beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. There was humor and joy, as there is at most weddings but there was also a deep connection felt among every person that was there to witness this union. It was special. These two are a perfect match, a perfect balance.

Once the vows were said and the knot was tied, it was time to CELEBRATE. And celebrate they did! Meaningful Moments draped the ceilings and did the decorating for the reception, which was inspired by the “country girl meets city boy” theme. I used matte champagne gold sequin runners for the glam of the “city” and plum imitation burlap runners for the texture of the “country”. Simple centerpieces and loads of mercury glass and candles provided the glow at the dining tables and the twinkle light backdrop provided the perfect background for heartfelt speeches and a few sweet kisses.

Rebecca and Clinton’s reception was held at Country Inn and Suites Mankato, and with food from their amazing in house catering from Bonfire…bellies were as full as hearts!

Midwest Sound provided the tunes for the party and let me just tell you, the DJ asked me if I was sure all of the songs that the Groom requested were what they really wanted and after perusing the list of Nelly and 90’s pop songs (BSB FAN FOR LIFE) I enthusiastically replied…LOOKS GOOD TO ME. Now, when Backstreet’s Back comes on at a wedding reception typically the bridesmaids all squeal and run to the dance floor…in this case…it was the boys that flocked to the dance floor…although less squealing, there were so many moves busted. It was the best. I was watching from a distance giggling all evening.

This date also holds a special meaning for Becca’s parents- THEIR ANNIVERSARY! SO naturally we had to have a very special dance for Mom and Dad, and while her Dad is still convinced I was the culprit, it was definitely not me that should get the credit, I just passed plans and instructions to the DJ and made it happen the way the Bride had hoped.

Naturally I was a mess of tears at that point. because well…you know me. I love love stories!

Friesen’s Bakery made a beautiful cake, and a delicious snack bar for the reception. Brittany from Intuition Weddings was on hand to capture every precious and special moment. The bride wore a gown fit for a princess from Valerie’s Bridal and the Groom and his men were outfitted by Men’s Warehouse.  Hair and Makeup was done by the incredible team from Karizma in Mankato.

Another incredible love story that Meaningful Moments was a tiny part of. I am blessed.
