Laura + Mickey: Modern Tented Summer Wedding Celebration | Lake Crystal, MN

There are some brides I just know I’m going to connect with, and when our first Facetime call with Laura took place after she’d been to a champagne happy hour with co-worker, I knew this was going to be one of those dream wedding clients, and my intuition was spot on. #champsdrinkchamps

While planning their wedding Laura and Mickey were living in Chicago, and I have to say, they managed the task beautifully. They selected the right vendors for their tented reception held at Laura’s parents GORGEOUS Lake Crystal countryside home, and I do mean gorgeous. Listening to Laura’s mother tell the story of building their dream home was so heartwarming and really made it clear that Laura had chosen the right spot to celebrate a new addition to the family. The father of the bride also has a hops farm on the property! Talk about a cool conversation starter!  

Meaningful Moments was called in to help make sure every detail was in place and no one needed to stress, and with the weather throwing some curve balls, I was so happy we were there to be a resource for the family. Hosting a wedding is A LOT of work, and when weather doesn’t cooperate, it can be a mad dash to try and get things accomplished. I will never stop believing that Day of Coordination is one of the best investments you can make for your wedding day. 

The girls spent their morning at Liv Aveda Salon and Spa getting all dolled up for the occasion and their amazing photographer Rachel of Rachel Lynn Photography was there to capture those sweet wedding morning moments. 

Laura and Mickey held their ceremony at St. Joseph the Worker in Mankato. It was the perfect setting for their union. Simple, beautiful, and meaningful. Laura was a stunning bride, and Mickey a perfectly dashing groom. There were tears, and laughter, and lots of blessings, the perfect recipe for a wedding ceremony 

Budding Creations provided amazing florals. Including the most beautiful floral chandelier I have ever seen. It was the PERFECT show stopping piece for this tented wedding.

The heart and soul that Andrea and Amber put in to the details of this wedding was surely felt and more importantly seen in the beautiful floral designs including the bouquets and centerpieces. 

 

Guests arrived at the reception location ready to celebrate! Absolute Catering provided appetizers and The Lakes served up the drinks! 

Once Laura and Mickey made their grand entrance Absolute served up dinner, and as usual, it DID NOT disappoint. They always do a fantastic job! 

One day, I got a text from Laura that read: “so do you know anywhere I could rent confetti cannons?” and because I’m always up for a challenge, and some physics (how much force could the tent withstand and what is the velocity at which the confetti leaves the cannon)..I’m a planner what can I say. Lo and behold, the confetti cannons happened. Talk about an unforgettable moment! The looks on some of the guests faces were PRICELESS! 

It’s days like this that make me feel so incredibly lucky to be in this industry. Helping families pull together celebrations for their loved ones is the greatest honor of my life.
