Alright, if you are in serious need of a vacation just take a look at the following few images from Brian Bossany Photography and you’ll swoon over Kassi and Luke’s amazing wedding ceremony at Dreams La Romana in Punta Cana!
I know…..I told you….
So after saying their I Do’s and leaving the beautiful island behind, these two love birds threw an incredible celebration for all of their friends and family at Country Inn and Suites Mankato and wow what a party! We were lucky enough to be able to decorate this stunning event! For the wedding color scheme our bride and groom chose gold (sparkly gold of course, a light turquoise, coral, and a lighter peachy coral. Kassi had found some photos on Pinterest that she liked and I did my very best to make the dream she had come to life! The element that I think I liked the best was the backdrop! Helloooo paper flowers! I had done a giant paper flower wall(seriously giant…over 800 paper flowers) a couple of years ago so I knew I could tackle them again for the backdrop behind the head table. I used shades of white, ivory, and a light coral to bring the wedding colors into the backdrop and then used sheer fabric to create panel drapes and then up lit the whole thing! It turned out beautifully and was a perfect backdrop for these two to share a meal with their friends and family as a married couple!
When selecting the table linens, I knew we would want to go with the gorgeous champagne gold sequin linens from By Design Event Rentals and I wanted something else to add a little visual interest, and lo and behold I stumbled upon the PERFECT fit! Amazing petal overlays from Après Party Decor & Tent Rentals that I love because they remind me of the paper flowers we created for the backdrop! I love the combination of a little bit of texture and a little bit of sparkle! It’s the perfect combo! We covered the chairs in ivory ruched chair covers with coral and gold sequin bands (also from By Design) and I don’t know if I will ever get over this one. Coral is one of my favorite colors and in the dead of March in Minnesota, this use of color and texture was just what my soul needed!
For Centerpieces, we used a a combo of three different designs to bring some color and beachy vibes to the ballroom. Along with placing favor boxes made by the bride with colorful paper flowers, and the table numbers she also made! Such a fun detail! We used a ton of giant fluffy peonies (silk this time because peonies in March are roughly a billion dollars) but they still look fresh and brought the perfect softness to the decor! We also used a mixture of votives and varying glass containers for the florals to add visual interest to each table!
We draped the ceiling of the ballroom with sheer white fabric and warm white twinkle lights and also added some cafe bulb lights from Festivities to the sides of the ballroom to illuminate the bar and photo booth area and keep some beachy outdoor vibes going. A perfect touch to illuminate the space!
Bob from Silver Sound and Lights provided the entertainment for the evening and as usual he was amazing. He’s a wonderful DJ and is always an absolute pleasure to work with!
Kassi and Luke shared sweet treats from Bluebird Cakery with their friends and family, and obviously you all know how I feel about cake! Their wedding cake turned out so CUTE! The staff at Country Inn and Suites did an incredible job as usual (the food here guys is AH-MAZING)! We love working at this awesome local venue!
