A Meaningful Refresh

Uncategorized

I am so, so very excited to finally share the new look of Meaningful Moments Event Planning and Coordination! A new website, pretty black, gray, white and rose gold brand color scheme, a new look for the blog, and a renewed joy. I gathered my thoughts, about what I wanted my brand to reflect, who I wanted it to speak too and with the help of some amazing creatives and some even better friends, the heart of Meaningful Moments- and really, MY heart…was transferred onto film. I want to reflect my joy for my clients in every image on the site, I want the warmth I hope each client feels to radiate!

This brand refresh also brings some new and fun things to Meaningful Moments! The introduction of my two leading ladies (the rest of the team will follow soon), and the announcement that Meaningful Moments is now offering FRESH florals! This was something that came SO naturally to me. My grandmother was a florist for 40 years, and I would often help her cut fresh flowers from her MASSIVE gardens to make bouquets and arrangements for the ladies at her church, the patients at the hospital, or the residents of my great grandmother’s nursing home. This was a direction I didn’t initially consider for the business, but I feel so strongly that I am being led to use the skills my grandmother taught me so many years ago. Over the summer I started offering the service, but wasn’t sure if I would make it “official” and after the reactions we got, it was clear that it was something I needed to do! Also, I find making boutineers incredibly relaxing! There will be more details on this new and exciting service soon! For now…here’s a dreamy bouquet I designed and hand-tied for the styled shoot:

I pulled together a crew of creatives to help bring the vision for my brand specific bridal photoshoot to life, and we spent a Saturday laughing, creating, throwing glitter in the air, and sipping champagne. It was a day a sorely needed. It refreshed my soul, as much as the photos have refreshed my site. It reminded me of the love I have for seeing other creatives experiment and learn and grow. It’s such a beautiful thing. These images were captured BEAUTIFULLY by the incredibly talented Brittany Nash of Intuition Design Photography. We discussed shots I wanted for the sight, the feel I wanted them to have, and man oh man did she deliver. I get tears in my eyes every time I look over the perfectly curated gallery she presented. Luke and Molly Schweim of Elanem were also present and we will have more beauty to unleash on everyone from them later…believe me….I watched over Luke’s shoulder and was blown away. It was amazing to watch this crew work together.

Pam, with Pamela Hernandez Beauty styled hair and make-up for our “bride” Shelby- I wanted vintage inspired look, with a modern edge, so Pam did a slight wing to Shelby’s black liner, and a toned down bouffant with tons of texture to keep things loose and fun! I am continually amazed by Pamela’s work, she even was a doll and curled my hair for me and applied my lashes (I was shaking to badly to do it myself- I really don’t like having my photos taken). I love giving a creative human an idea and watching what they do with it. This look was perfect for my bride!

Our groom came well equipped with his own selection of suits- the man can DRESS! Erin and I went to college together YEARS ago, performing in many shows and concerts together, and probably causing some trouble too (Erin of course, never me!). When I first started planning my brand refresh shoot, I was thinking about who I would ask to model for me and IMMEDIATELY Erin and Shelby popped into my head, and bless their hearts they agreed! They are real life boyfriend and girlfriend ya’ll! I was so, so, so grateful to them for driving down from Minneapolis to spend the day with me, being forced to dress up and smooch each other a whole bunch for the camera! I’ll never be able to put into words what it means to me to have two dear friends as the “faces” of my brand! Here’s a look at the dapper “groom”:

I sent my lead planner Erin on a hunt for the perfect bridal gown, I wanted lace, lots of detail and a little sparkle! She FOUND THE GOWN at Inspire Bridal Boutique in St. Peter! The beautiful Allure gown was accented with a crystal belt and it was absolute PERFECTION! I am such a sucker for eyelash lace, it is so beautiful! I loved the hint of blush in the under layer of the gown! It was everything I dreamed of! Details are going to be HUGE in bridal at 2017! Thanks Julie and the Inspire team for letting us play dress up for the day! The beautiful bridal attire:

I used amazing rose gold sequin table linens from By Design Rentals (I have been in LOVE with these linens since I used them for a wedding in July), mercury glass, candlelight, champagne coupes (to add a vintage touch) and fresh florals adorn the table top. Crystal chivari chairs from G & K Rental provide a comfy seat and elegant modern look (and if you think I didn’t sit at this gorgeous table and sip champagne and eat Olive Garden take-out with all these fab people after the shoot, you’d be wrong). I love tablescapes, and fresh florals, this is the direction we will continue to take our designs at Meaningful Moments.

As a business owner, it’s incredibly important to find employees that love your clients the way you do, and I have found those girls, Erin and Nicolle are my lifesavers. They are learning how to do things just as I would so that we can serve even more couples. Erin has taken on her own clients and will continue to do so, and Nicolle will be not to far behind her later this spring! These girls are amazing, and I love being able to help guide them and watch them do what they have a passion for. I cannot wait to continue to watch them grow. It’s been a blessing beyond measure.

I am so in love with everything that we created, it really has become the heart and soul behind the brand. I want joy, and happiness and kindness to pour out of this little piece of the internet. The blog is coming BACK, for boss ladies, brides, almost brides, girlfriends, mother’s of brides, and everyone else. I have decided to really live by my favorite quote: THROW KINDNESS AROUND LIKE CONFETTI! If I can make people smile, make them feel good about themselves, make their wedding days easier, make someone laugh, I will be content. Thank you for reading this incredibly long blog post. You’re a trooper.

XOXO- Amber
